Museum Hosts Community Parking Lot Sale

Stevenson, WA- If you are a fan of American Pickers or Pawn Stars, mark your calendar. The Columbia Gorge Interpretive Center Museum invites all bargain hunters to check out the “Picker’s Haven Parking Lot Sale,” Saturday, July 14, 9 am – 4 pm.

Got some things to get rid of? 10’x10’ spaces are available for $10. Clean out the garage, including all those closets and drawers stuffed with things you can’t remember the last time using. Rent a space and save the lawn from getting trampled, the garage from being ransacked by enthusiastic bargain hunters, and the public wanting use of your personal bathroom. Bring your own table and chairs or rent them from the museum for $10. Provide your own tent. Set up begins at 8 a.m. and the fun begins at 9 until 4 p.m.

Hot dogs, drinks, popcorn and nachos will be available to cure the munchies. “I believe this is the last local community-wide garage sale of the summer, so don’t miss it,” said Jim Price, president of the historical society. “If you watch Antiques Road Show, it is not uncommon to discover a real treasure at a garage sale. You just never know.”

Call (800) 991-2338 or (509) 427-8211 to make arrangements for a space or two. The

Museum is located at 990 SW Rock Creek Drive, Stevenson, WA. Gates open at 8 am.
